Site Submission

So you're ready to submit? Here are some guidelines to consider for entry into the Holistic WAHM Directory. We're trying to build a valuable resource for the holistic community and so we're making sure the sites in our directory are quality.  

Regular listings are FREE but a link back to our directory is required.

Remember that we are a "niche" directory and you MUST be a STAY AT HOME MOM or DAD to get listed here. If your site doesn't in some way show that you are a holistic WAHM/D, then your submission will be rejected. It is required that you fill in the sections listed below appropriately. Listings without them will be rejected.

Featured Listings appear at the top of your chosen category and are $15.00 for 1 month in the Featured Listing area. If you pay for a Featured Listing and your site does NOT show that you are a holistic WAHM, then your payment will be refunded

You may submit your link in up to 3 different categories (you must submit seperately). Note that we will move links to more appropriate categories if we see fit. Please submit in sub-categories rather than the parent/top category. And make sure your site description is appropriate to the category you are submitting to. If you submit to more than one category, please adjust it accordingly.

Currently, thumbnails are provided for those sites that are listed at DMOZ. Visit DMOZ to submit your listing and get your thumbnail at HWD. We are working on a thumbnail solution for all sites in the directory, this is our temporary solution.

Title - Should be your company name ONLY. No taglines or keywords. It should be fluent and grammatically correct. Capitalize first letter of each word. For example, Holistic WAHM Directory and NOT Holistic WAHM Directory - Niche Directory for the Holistic Community.

URL - Enter your Site URL as such, http://www.yourdomain.com

Description - Put some thought into your description. Its an advertisement for your site.

META Keywords - These help your listing SEO. Choose the keywords most relevant to your site.

META Description - This description can be picked up by some of the search engines as your site summary, so make sure its nice.

Category - Pick the most appropriate category.

Reciprocal Link URL - This is the space where you put the URL of the page on your site where you have added a link to the Holistic WAHM Directory. Doing a reciprocal link allows you to place a free listing into our directory (normally but for now regular listings are free as well). Otherwise, paid link listings do not require a reciprocal link, but they are of course, appreciated. Buttons are provided below for use on your site.

Sites Not Accepted

We are a niche directory so we don't expect to see these but just in case, these are Sites we do not accept;

• Pornography, Adult Content, Gambling, Hate, and any questionable content will not be allowed
• Pharmaceutical and Drug sites
• Miracle Stocks & Stockmarket Scams
• MFA (Made For Adsense) sites with no original content
• Sites under construction to a large extent
• Non English based sites
• Sites banned by Google
• Sites with excessive popups or popunders
• Sites without any unique content
• Pyramid schemes or any other scams
• Replicated sites are only permitted in the MLM/direct sales section

MLM/Network Marketing/Direct Sales

MLMs are currently allowed for product sales, not business building ONLY in the MLM/Direct Sales category. HOWEVER only one distributor from each company will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. If there is a distributor site waiting in queue when you purchase a Featured Link, the monies will be refunded as soon as we get to your link.

MLM hype will not be tolerated. Any MLM listings claiming they are not MLM, will be rejected. Any MLM claiming there is no selling involved, will be rejected. Any MLM promoting the business, will be rejected.

Site Review Submission

We want to provide a place for real customers to offer their shopping experiences with the sites in the HolisticWAHM Directory. We also want our site listings to be assured that all reviews are subject to approval. Any outrageous or profane reviews will immediately be rejected. If you are reviewing a shop here, we ask that you provide details of your interaction, especially if you are leaving a negative review. A negative review with no details will not be approved.

If it is found that you are giving your own site rating points. Your site will be removed from the directory.

All sites are reviewed for approval. We reserve the right to not accept websites without explanation. We may move your website to a different category at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to delete any listing for any reason at any time.

Buttons

We know that many WAHMS do not have experience in HTML and so we have given several options in linking to us. Hopefully, everyone can find something suitable to their level of experience. The three buttons below each have HTML code next to them. All one needs to do is copy the HTML code EXACTLY as it is listed in the code box below and paste it into their site. If you are not familiar with entering straight code, please just add a link to us using the following information;

For the record, linking works best with text links, as far as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) goes. So we actually prefer textual links back to our directory but realize that some like the graphics.

Using the images is accomplished simply by putting the following on your site and changing the "YOUR_HWD_SELECTED_GRAPHIC" to one of the links above - depending on the graphic you like (more coming);

The codes below are simply the image source noted above wrapped in an HTML link to make the graphic clickable. For the Rate Us image, be sure to change the YOURLISTINGID to your HWD listing ID (see your listing details for this number or check your link approval notice).
